A 22-year-old man in Narok County drowned in the waters of Siayabei River when he went for a dip with a friend and got stuck in the muddy water.

The deceased identified as Doti Ngaiwaitei, a resident of Enorua Eseka village in Mosiro Location, was not able to swim his way out of the water as efforts to rescue him turned futile.

A police report on Tuesday stated that the scene was visited by Ntulele OCS in company of Red Cross divers who retrieved the deceased’s body.

The body was taken to Narok Referral Hospital Mortuary awaiting autopsy.
