Police are searching for a 29-year-old man from Meru County following allegations of involvement in violent robbery and drug trafficking.

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations conducted a raid on his residence in the Murunya area of Mutuati, Meru County, but the suspect was not found at the premises.

The raid was prompted by a tip-off, leading Anti-Narcotics detectives, supported by their counterparts from the Transnational Organized Crimes Unit, to storm the suspect’s residence.

During the search, a rifle loaded with a magazine containing 20 live rounds and a bale of bhang (cannabis) were discovered.

It is believed that the suspect may have been alerted to the police raid and subsequently fled the area, evading capture. Authorities are continuing their efforts to locate and apprehend the individual in connection with the alleged crimes.
