A 74 year old German national has been jailed for 81 years after being found guilty of child pornography and child trafficking.
This is after the court found that the prosecution had proved its case against Thomas Scheller beyond reasonable doubt.
Trial magistrate Caroline Njangi said that from the pre-sentencing report, the victim prayed for a deterrent sentence against the accused.
The court found the accused guilty in all six counts.
In count one, he was sentenced to 30 years for an of child trafficking while in counts two and three, he was sentenced for 15 years each .
In count 4,5, and 6 on a charge of child pornography he was slapped with seven years, each making it a total of 21 years
The court further directed that the convict be entered into the convicted sexual offenders’ register
The offence happened in Nairobi and Mombasa between 2019 and 2020.
