A 35-year-old man from Texas was caught subjecting a boy to s£xual abuse on the balcony of a rented apartment in Usaquén, Bogotá, Colombia.
The incident reportedly occurred this weekend.
A video shows the man standing with a child in front of him, facing him.
Passersby initially assumed it was his child and he was playing with him, until they noticed him thrusting in the direction of the child’s face.
“He is abusing the child,” shocked women screamed from the street below.
They quickly alerted the authorities and police went to the house on Sunday, June 14, where they found three minors ages 4, 7, and 15.
The foreign national was arrested and is now in the custody of the prosecutor General of the Nation.
A video of the arrest has been shared online. It shows an angry crowd gathered outside the apartment as they hurled insults at the tourist when police led him out.
After learning about this situation, the Colombia Institute of Family Welfare (ICBF) pointed out that it already has a family defense team that is handling the incident.
The Prosecutor’s Office has vehemently condemned the act of s£xual violence committed against the child by the tourist.
