TikToker Hanna Benta has responded to claims circulating on social media accusing her and her boyfriend, fellow TikToker and pilot Steve Nice, of leaking content creator Sheryl Gabriella’s private videos.

Speaking during a TikTok live session on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, Hanna insisted that neither she nor Steve Nice was responsible for the leak, claiming Sheryl had already been aware that the videos might eventually become public.

According to Hanna, she had known about the existence of the videos for about two months and even received a message from Sheryl a day before the leak.

“I have had those videos for about two months. Even yesterday, Sheryl texted me and said she was happy the videos had finally been leaked because she had been living in constant tension. She knew they would eventually come out; she just didn’t know when. I can even show the screenshot,” Hanna claimed.

She went on to reveal that another TikTok user, whom she described only as someone on “Level 34” on the platform, was responsible for circulating the videos.

Hanna claimed that the videos were sent to the man because Sheryl believed he was single.

According to her account, the man’s wife later discovered the videos on her husband’s phone and was the one who leaked them online.

“When Sheryl sent those videos to that man, she didn’t know he had a wife and children because he had never told her. The man’s wife later found the videos on his phone and leaked them. So it wasn’t us,” she said.

The TikToker urged social media users to stop associating her and Steve Nice with the controversy, saying the accusations had unfairly damaged their reputations.

“So stop tarnishing my name and that of my husband by saying we are the ones who leaked them. I cannot keep quiet while people twist the story to make it look like we exposed her,” she said.

Mixed reactions

The issue has already attracted reactions from several public figures, including Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement Geoffrey Mosiria, who called for investigations into the circulation of the videos, saying authorities should establish whether any laws had been broken before taking appropriate action.

Mosiria’s remarks were later criticised by Salvation Healing Ministry founder Pastor Victor Kanyari, who argued that Sheryl should not be shamed or face arrest over private videos allegedly shared with a former partner.

Kanyari maintained that many people exchange intimate content privately with their partners and urged Mosiria to leave the young content creator alone instead of calling for her arrest.

“So Mosiria, I heard your statements. Stop it and stop calling for her arrest. Leave her alone and let her live her life,” Kanyari said.
