A 47-year-old man has been found dead in stagnant water in Khwiliba, Vihiga County.
Mukhalakhala Location Acting Chief, Joseck Mbuya, says the man had been reported missing from his home on Saturday before his children discovered his body in the stagnant water.
Residents have raised concerns over the stagnant water, appealing to authorities to help drain the water from the field. Their calls, however, have so far gone unanswered.
Two people are reported to have died after falling into the stagnant water.
Administrators have urged members of the community to exercise caution and take necessary precautions to prevent similar tragedies.
