Unbeaten Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) women’s basketball team will be seeking to maintain their impressive run when they take on Equity Hawks and Stanbic Aces in the National Women’s Basketball Premier League this weekend.

The Dockers will face Equity Hawks today before hosting Stanbic Aces on Sunday, with both matches scheduled to be played at Makande Gymnasium in Mombasa.

KPA head coach Samuel Ocholla believes his charges are well prepared for the demanding double-header and is targeting nothing short of two victories as they seek to finish the regular season on a high ahead of next month’s playoffs.

“Tough games, yes, but I believe we have prepared well. The guys are in good shape and raring to go, and we are going for nothing short of victory. If we can get these two wins this weekend, we will then prepare for our final game against USIU before heading into the playoffs,” said Ocholla.

Ocholla added that the team has made significant progress compared to the beginning of the campaign and is confident they are ready for the playoffs.

“We are in a much better position than we were at the start of the season, and I believe we are good to go,” he said.

KPA will be looking to preserve their unbeaten record while using the remaining regular-season games to sharpen their preparations for the playoffs.
