TikToker Dhahabu, the woman who appeared alongside late Gotta City rapper Stoopid Boy in what became his final video, has come out to dismiss claims that the skit had anything to do with his death.
Speaking in a TikTok clip on Friday, August 28, 2026, Dhahabu introduced herself as the woman seen with Stoopid Boy in his last post and addressed speculation that began circulating online after news of the rapper’s death.
“Hi guys, I am Dhahabu, that lady who is in the video with Stoopid Boy in his last post,” she said.
She confirmed that the rapper had died, expressing her condolences before turning her attention to claims being made about their final video together.
“Unfortunately, he died,” Dhahabu said.
According to the TikToker, some bloggers had published reports suggesting that the video they recorded together could have contributed to Stoopid Boy’s death.
“Bloggers, some have been posting and saying that maybe that video contributed to Stoopid Boy’s death,” she said.
Dhahabu, however, firmly rejected the suggestion, explaining that the video was simply content they had created together and was not connected to the circumstances surrounding his death.
“No, it is not like that,” she said.
She further clarified that the concept for the skit had come from Stoopid Boy himself, distancing herself from claims that she had done anything that could have contributed to the rapper’s death.
“It was just content, and that idea, it is him who came up with it,” she explained.
Dhahabu concluded by paying tribute to the rapper and wishing him eternal rest.
“May his soul rest in peace,” she said.
What happened in the final skit?
The video that placed Dhahabu alongside Stoopid Boy was a short comedy skit in which the two acted as a married couple.
In the skit, Stoopid Boy played the role of a husband arriving home and asking for food after apparently coming back from his day.
Instead of immediately serving him, Dhahabu’s character remained on her phone and told him to wash the utensils.
The light-hearted exchange was presented as a humorous depiction of a domestic disagreement between a husband and wife, with the two playing out the scene for entertainment.
The clip later became particularly significant after Stoopid Boy’s death because it was among the last pieces of content in which the rapper was seen before his death.
Its timing subsequently prompted online speculation, with some people attempting to connect the skit to the circumstances surrounding his death.
Stoopid Boy’s final days
The rapper died on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at his home in Gotta City, also known as Riverbank, where he had remained closely connected to the community even after attaining fame.
His death sent shockwaves through the Kenyan entertainment scene, with friends, fellow artistes and residents of Gotta City mourning the musician who rose to prominence through his memorable contribution to the hit “G Bag Na Jug”.
Stoopid Boy had also endured a difficult personal journey before his death, including struggles with substance abuse that eventually saw him enter a rehabilitation programme.
Following his time in rehabilitation, he spoke about his determination to rebuild his life and return to music, while media personality Oga Obinna also supported his rehabilitation journey and later pledged to help him adjust to life after treatment.
