Kenyan actress, singer and public speaker Fredah Onduso Murugi, popularly known as Kwamboka, has become one of the prominent young figures associated with the Linda Mwananchi movement.
Onduso serves as the Secretary-General of the Linda MwananchiNational Youth League, a role that has placed her at the centre of the youth wing’s public activities and political conversations.
Her growing visibility has also earned her comparisons with Linda Mwananchi leader and Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, with some referring to her as the “female Sifuna” because of her confidence, public speaking ability, and outspoken approach to political issues.
Who is Fredah Onduso?
Onduso is an actress, poet, singer, public speaker, and political activist with roots in Bonchari, Kisii County.
She attended Magenge SDA Primary School before joining Omobera Adventist School. She later studied at Maryhill Girls High School in Thika, where she took part in debating and public-speaking competitions.
Her interest in performance started early. She acted in set-book plays, with Betrayal in the City among the productions she has previously mentioned as a favourite.
Onduso later joined Rongo University, where she studied International Relations and Diplomacy and graduated in 2020. While at the university, she served as an elected ladies’ representative between 2019 and 2020.
Her experience was not limited to the classroom. She also worked at the Deputy President’s Office at Nairobi’s Harambee Annex under the Department of Youth Affairs.
From acting to public speaking
Before becoming widely known through Linda Mwananchi, Onduso had already built a career around communication and the creative arts.
She has an acting credit in the Kenyan drama film A Family Portrait, where she played Miriam. The film was directed by Dancurf Brown and produced by Safari Media Africa.
She has also worked in public speaking, corporate training, and MC work. In 2022, she joined Imprint Africa, where she became involved in staff training, leadership and governance sessions alongside her creative work.
Her public-speaking background has become particularly visible during her Linda Mwananchi engagements, where she has addressed issues around governance, youth participation, employment and national leadership.
She also went viral following her appearance on a local station, where she completely stunned the panel and viewers by reciting the Preamble of the Kenyan Constitution from memory.

Onduso’s political profile grew significantly through her involvement with the Linda Mwananchi Youth League. As Secretary-General, she has appeared alongside other figures associated with the movement and has taken part in public engagements across the country.
In August 2026, she attracted attention after speaking about violence witnessed during a Linda Mwananchi tour in Homa Bay. She described the incident as being beyond “goonism” and questioned the responsibility that comes with holding public office.
She has also demonstrated her knowledge of Kenya’s constitutional framework, including publicly reciting the Preamble to the Constitution during a Linda Mwananchi engagement.
The singing Secretary-General
Music is another part of Onduso’s growing public profile.
She has been involved in songs connected to the Linda Mwananchi movement, including “Sifuna Ametamba”, a song celebrating Edwin Sifuna that has circulated in different versions and remixes.
She has also described herself as part of the movement’s singing brigade, bringing her creative background into its public activities. She has also actively advocated that the goal for Kenyan youth shouldn’t just be voting political figures out, but voting in strict adherence to constitutionalism.
Her involvement in music is not entirely new. Before her political profile grew, she had already worked as a singer and featured in music projects, including songs associated with Osoro and other creatives.
Why Sifuna calls her his reflection
Onduso’s public style has drawn attention from Sifuna himself.
In a post shared on X on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, Sifunashared a photo with Onduso and appeared to draw a comparison between their personalities and even their fashion choices.
“Fridah Onduso reminds me of me. Nikama pia tumeanza to match outfit. Brilliant young lady!” he wrote.
More than a singer
Although her singing has helped make her recognisable, Onduso’s background extends beyond music.
She has experience in acting, poetry, public speaking, corporate training, MC work, youth leadership and governance discussions.
