Officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have recovered police uniforms and copper wire in a coordinated operation in Isinya, Kajiado County.
The officers raided the suspects’ hideout in Majengo, where they were allegedly burning copper wire to strip off its insulation, but they escaped before the officers closed in.
Following a search in one of the houses associated with the suspects, police recovered Administration Police uniforms, including a beret, shirt, jungle jacket, trousers and a maroon belt, among other items like pliers, tin snips, solar equipment and copper wire.
Detectives from Isinya have now taken charge of the investigations and are pursuing leads to apprehend those involved, recover additional stolen property and establish the full extent of the alleged criminal enterprise.
