Tanzanian singer Harmonize has opened up about why he has, at times, found himself returning to women he previously dated, saying familiarity can make starting a new relationship difficult.
Speaking during an interview with media personality Oga Obinnaon Wednesday night, September 9, 2026, the Bongo Flava star explained that one reason he has gone back to a former partner is the feeling that comes with having to start over with someone new.
“Kati ya sababu ishawai kunifanya ni rudi kwa mwanamke nimewai kuwa naye, ni unajikuta tu siku na ile feeling ya kusema kwamba, ‘kuanza upya nako na kuna mtu ambaye umemuzoea,’” Harmonize said.
He clarified that he was not necessarily announcing plans to reunite with an ex, noting that the feeling had simply occurred to him before.
“Unajikuta kwa situation kama hiyo, and I am not saying I will do that, lakini ishawai kunitokea hivyo,” he added.
Harmonize on future relationship
Harmonize said he is now praying for the right person and a partner he believes God has chosen for him.
“Mimi naomba tu Mungu anipatie mtu sahihi na mtu Mungu aliyenipangia. Love is not a game; it is life,” he said.
The singer also expressed appreciation for the women who have been part of his life, saying his past relationships have taught him important lessons.
“Naheshimu wanawake wote ambao wamenipa chance na kudedicate muda wao kwangu na mimi nimejifunza kupitia kwao,” Harmonize said.
Harmonize’s public relationships
Harmonize has had several high-profile relationships over the years. Among the women he has publicly been linked to are Tanzanian actress Jacqueline Wolper, Italian model Sarah Michelotti, Australian beauty Briana Jai, Rwandan socialite Yolo The Queen, and actress Frida Kajala Masanja.
Harmonize and Sarah were married in 2019 before their relationship ended. He later dated Kajala, with their on-and-off relationship becoming one of his most publicised romances. He was also previously in a relationship with Briana, which ended after he admitted that he still had feelings for Kajala.
The singer is currently single following his latest split from Kajala for the third time.
“Mimi na aliyekuwa mwenzangu hatuko pamoja. It has been three months, and I am not proud of that; that is why I have been silent and did not want to talk about it,” Harmonize said on Thursday, September 4, 2026, during the launch of his latest album.
His latest comments come as he reflects on his past relationships while expressing hope of finding a partner he considers right for him.
