A female pilot known as Susan E has moved her followers with a deeply personal farewell to an aircraft that meant far more to her than just a machine.
Writing on Instagram on September 11, 2026, Susan reflected on the end of a chapter she described as one of the most meaningful of her flying career.
What began as an unremarkable aircraft assigned to her for work gradually became something she and her crew affectionately named Aduke Mi, a term of endearment that stuck with everyone around her.
Susan explained that when she first stepped into the cockpit of the Legacy600, it was simply the plane she went to work in. Over time, that changed.

The aircraft took on a name, a personality and a place in the hearts of her entire team, whom she referred to as the Choplife Crew.
“Aduke was a reliable plane,” she wrote. “She took me to places I might never have seen and to opportunities I couldn’t have planned for.”
She credited the aircraft and the captains she flew alongside for shaping her into a sharper, more capable pilot.
Susan’s reassurance to her followers
The cockpit, she said, became a classroom as much as a workplace, and the colleagues who shared it with her were among the best she had encountered in her career.
