Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has left Kenyans with a glimpse of his playful side after stepping onto a 360° video booth in New York City and breaking into a series of energetic dance moves as a camera revolved around him.
The lawmaker shared the video a few hours past midnight on Saturday, September 26, 2026, showing himself dressed in an official-looking outfit as he happily danced on the platform while wearing a wide smile.
The camera continued moving round and round the MP as he struck various humorous poses, switched between different dance moves and appeared to thoroughly enjoy the unusual filming experience.
At one point, Salasya leaned into the moment with a series of animated poses, maintaining his broad smile as the rotating camera captured him from different angles.
The 360° video booth, which has become increasingly popular for capturing dynamic short videos, uses a camera mounted on an arm that moves around a person standing on a platform, creating a sweeping effect as they dance or pose.
Salasya appeared to embrace the technology fully, turning the brief experience into a light-hearted dance session as the camera repeatedly circled him.
His outfit also stood out during the outing, with the MP appearing in formal attire as he moved through the platform and experimented with different poses for the camera.
While sharing the footage, Salasya appeared keenly aware of the time difference between New York and Kenya, joking with his followers about posting the video while many of them were asleep.
“Mambo ya wazungu ni mengi hapa New York. I know you all are asleep now in Kenya and probably won’t see this video well,” he wrote.
The post offered a glimpse into Salasya’s activities during his stay in the United States, where he has been sharing different moments from his trip with his followers.
The MP’s latest video also showed him stepping away from the more formal side of his public life and embracing a lighter moment as he interacted with the technology and danced for the camera.
Rather than simply standing on the platform, Salasya used the few seconds in front of the rotating camera to display a variety of moves, occasionally changing his posture and throwing in exaggerated poses that added a humorous touch to the clip.

The video comes as Salasya continues his United States tour, during which he has shared several updates from different locations and offered his followers a glimpse into his experiences abroad.

The light-hearted moment comes only days after Mumias East MP Peter Salasya offered his followers a glimpse into his stay in Abu Dhabi, where he compared accommodation costs in the United Arab Emirates with what he described as expensive Airbnb rates in Nairobi.
Speaking in a TikTok video on Friday, September 18, 2026, Salasya showed off the Airbnb where he was staying during his visit to Abu Dhabi, revealing that he had paid KSh6,500 for the accommodation.
The MP described the property as a decent and well-equipped place located near Abu Dhabi’s central business district, highlighting features including a bathroom, balcony, views of the skyline and a sea view.
Salasya contrasted the amount he had paid with the rates he said Kenyans encounter in Nairobi, where he claimed a standard Airbnb could cost about Ksh10,000.
He also used the opportunity to explain that his trip to Abu Dhabi was not purely for leisure, saying he and his team had travelled to the UAE in search of investors.
