Wicknell Chivayo’s two young children have arrived at the family residence in Gletwin, Harare, joining mourners gathered to pay their last respects to the Zimbabwean businessman who died in a helicopter crash.

Zimbabwean outlet ZW Times shared the update on Instagram on Friday, October 2, 2026, confirming that the children had taken their place among family members and close friends at the Chivayo home alongside their mother, Sonja Madzikanda, Chivayo’s ex-wife.

The development came after family spokesman Herbert Chivayo had earlier told the public that the children had not yet arrived at the Gletwin venue, explaining that they were still being given emotional support in the immediate wake of their father’s death.
