Naomi Kuria opens up on accepting life’s realities, even when they conflict

Digital creator Naomi Kuria has reflected on the complexities of life, noting that people do not always have to choose between two opposing realities.

In a post shared on October 5, 2026, Kuria said life often presents people with choices that appear to require them to take one side, but noted that two truths can exist at the same time.

She explained that people can experience conflicting emotions and realities without one necessarily cancelling out the other.

Two truths can exist together

Kuria said people can hate something while still remaining connected to it, just as they can love someone but choose not to be with them.

“You can love someone and still not choose them. And you can also love someone and still choose not to be with them,” she said.

According to Kuria, such situations should not always be viewed through the lens of either-or decisions. She suggested that people can hold different feelings at the same time, even when those feelings appear to contradict each other.

Her reflection highlights the reality that emotions do not always lead to straightforward decisions. Someone can deeply care about another person while recognising that being together may not be the right choice.

Wanting something does not guarantee having it

Kuria further observed that people can strongly desire something and still fail to have it.

“You can love somebody so much, so much. You can wish to be with them so much, and yet don’t have them,” she said.

She noted that the same reality applies to different areas of life, where people may have a particular vision for themselves but eventually find themselves on a different path.

Kuria added that people should recognise that wanting a certain life does not necessarily mean they will get to live it.

Learning to accept life’s complexities

The content creator’s message suggests that acceptance can sometimes come from acknowledging that contradictory realities can coexist rather than forcing every situation into a simple choice.

She pointed to everyday life as having many examples where people have to live with outcomes that may not match what they wanted.

Kuria’s reflection has offered a perspective on love, choices and disappointment, reminding people that not every difficult situation has to have a clear winner or a single explanation.
