Fitness enthusiast Corazon Kwamboka has revealed that she has shed 1.5kg but admitted that she still has to carefully track her meals to maintain progress.

The mother of two said she had recently gained the weight but managed to lose it, prompting her to reflect on her approach to food and weight management.

“Shed a clean 1.5 kg that I had gained,” Kwamboka said on Thursday, October 8,2026.

However, she admitted that the experience had taught her she could not simply rely on intuitive eating, saying her body often craves some of her favourite Kenyan foods.

“But I’ve also come to realise I can’t intuitively eat. I can’t just listen to my body because my body will always tell me it wants chapatis, mandazis and crisps,” she said.

Kwamboka said she had therefore accepted that monitoring what she eats remains necessary if she wants to continue seeing results.

“So I’ve accepted that I still need to track my meals if I actually want to see progress,” she added.

In March, she explained that her commitment to working out goes beyond physical appearance, revealing that the gym has been an important part of her mental health routine.

“There are many reasons why I work out… but one of them is that it’s the only therapy that ever worked for me,” she previously said.

She has also pushed back against the idea of shortcuts to achieving a toned body, encouraging her followers to combine exercise with proper eating.

“One of the questions I get asked, and I hate. Just work out, please. There is no exercise for a flat tummy specifically, no tea, no belt, and no magic unless you go the surgery route. Just work out and eat right,” she previously said.

Kwamboka has also emphasised consistency and genetics when discussing body transformations.

“Your body will respond how it wants to respond depending on your genetics. Stop looking for shortcuts! Go to the gym and work your whole body, and you will see results progressively,” she said.

Her latest admission highlights another part of her fitness journey, the challenge of balancing exercise with food choices, especially when cravings for familiar favourites such as chapatis, mandazis and crisps kick in.
