The eulogy of beloved Kenyan TikToker Patrick Mbacio Thiro has found its way online, sparking conversation among his followers as it lifts the curtain on the private life of a man many knew only through a screen.

Patrick was born on 20 May 1962 in Molo Village, Nakuru County, the firstborn son of the late Joseph Thiro Mbacio and his two mothers, Christine Wacu Thiro and Eunice Wacuka Thiro.

He began his schooling at Turi Sulgwita Primary School before transferring to Michinda Primary School, and later completed a driving course as his formal training.

Patrick Mbacio’s life and career

Over the years, Patrick worked across several sectors. He held a position at Jamii Yako Supermarket in Mumias and also spent time in the public transport industry.

He later branched into land selling and farming before discovering TikTok, where his warm personality and relatable content earned him a loyal audience.

It is the family section of the eulogy, however, that has captured the most attention online. While the document lists his mother, siblings, nephews, nieces and grandchildren as his surviving relatives, there is no mention of a wife or children of his own. The omission has led many to conclude that Patrick never married.

Patrick Mbacio’s final years

According to the eulogy, Patrick enjoyed relatively good health for most of his life. That changed in his final three years after he was diagnosed with both diabetes and high blood pressure.

He sought treatment at Nakuru Provincial General Hospital, and in June 2026 he was admitted there for three weeks before being transferred to Bungoma for further medical attention.

He passed away on 26 September 2026, aged 64. A devoted Catholic, Patrick had been baptised at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on 22 August 1964 by Father Cunningham.

The eulogy closes with a simple but tender send-off:

“Though he is gone from our sight, he will forever remain in our hearts and memories. Rest in Eternal Peace, Patrick Mbacio Thiro.”
