Digital content creator and photographer Faustine Lukale, popularly known as Baba Talisha, has shared an update on his eye infection, revealing that he has been battling the condition for 42 days in a journey marked by pain, hospital visits, and treatment.
In a post shared on his Instagram page on Monday, October 19, 2026, Baba Talisha said what initially appeared to be a simple eye allergy, accompanied by itching and blurred vision, later developed into a serious infection affecting the corneas of both eyes.
He recalled that his left eye became so swollen that he could not open it, with pus coming out before the infection later affected his right eye as well.
Despite the difficulties, the content creator said he remained hopeful about his recovery, crediting his faith in God and the support he had received from medical professionals, friends and fans.
Baba Talisha details 42 days of treatment
Reflecting on the past six weeks, Baba Talisha said his condition had required repeated hospital visits, medical tests and different medications as doctors worked to manage the infection.
He disclosed that the eye hospital had become a regular part of his life as he continued seeking treatment. “For the past month, the eye hospital has practically become my second home,” he wrote.
The content creator also revealed that he had undergone culture tests and scans while dealing with dangerously high eye pressure.
He described the experience as physically, emotionally, and spiritually challenging, noting that the treatment process had involved trying numerous medications. “Wueeh! Ni God tu anajua what I’ve been through,” he added, expressing the difficulty of the experience.

Baba Talisha also expressed gratitude to his cornea specialist, whom he credited for going beyond expectations in helping him through the recovery process. He acknowledged the demands on the specialist, noting that she was also attending to other patients, including those awaiting corneal transplants.
The content creator praised her dedication and compassion, extending his appreciation to the entire hospital team for the care he had received. His message highlighted the role medical professionals have played during the 42 days he has been seeking treatment.

Beyond medical care, Baba Talisha acknowledged the encouragement he had received from people who had checked on him, sent messages wishing him a quick recovery and prayed for his health.
He said the support had meant a great deal to him throughout the difficult period. “To everyone who has checked on me, sent quick recovery wishes or whispered a prayer, THANK YOU. Your love means more than words can express,” he wrote.
The content creator’s update also reflected his determination to remain hopeful despite not knowing how long the recovery process would take. He said he continued to pray and believe that he would recover fully, describing the experience as a difficult season that he hoped to overcome.

As he marked the 42nd day since the eye problem began, Baba Talisha said he was still fighting and maintaining his faith despite the challenges he had experienced.
He acknowledged that he did not know when the difficult period would end but remained convinced that his situation could improve. “I don’t know when this season will end, but I know God is still writing my testimony,” he stated.
He concluded his message by encouraging himself and others facing difficult circumstances not to lose hope, maintaining that his faith remained strong throughout the treatment process. “There is no giving up when God is on your side. This too shall pass. God has never failed me, and He won’t start now,” he added.
