The family of William Olemata Mukut has laid him to rest at his home in Narok County, following his tragic death in a road accident along the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.
According to information from a neighbour, Olemata’s body was buried on Tuesday, October 27, at his home in Keyian ward, as family members, relatives and friends gathered to bid him farewell.
Residents United in Grief
The burial brings together mourners united by grief as they prepare to say their final goodbyes to a man whose life was cut short in the tragic crash.
Olemata’s death has added to the pain surrounding the Mtito Andei accident, which claimed two of the three occupants in the vehicle and left one injured.
For his family, the loss is particularly painful, with the burial marking the end of a life that those closest to him had hoped would continue for many more years.
The circumstances surrounding the journey have also made the tragedy more heartbreaking. The two men had reportedly travelled to Mombasa to purchase the Probox before setting off for home, unaware that their journey would end in disaster.
As mourners gathered in Keyian to pay their last respects, Olemata’s family and friends are left to come to terms with his sudden death.
