Manchester United superfan Kevin Masagara has joined frustrated supporters in demanding that head coach Michael Carrick leave the club following their 2-0 defeat to Chelsea.
In an emotional video shared online on Saturday, October 31, 2026, Masagara questioned Carrick’s ability to improve the team, telling him to step aside if he could no longer deliver results.
“Michael Carrick, we want to tell you this: You came to this team when we were winning. If you do not want this team, if you do not want to add value to it, just leave. You will find something else to do,” Masagara said.
He repeatedly described the defeat as painful, using the phrase “Ni uchungu sana” to express his disappointment.
Manchester United suffered a 2-0 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, October 31, 2026, extending their difficult run of results.
Morgan Rogers opened the scoring in the 50th minute before Cole Palmer converted a penalty in the 64th minute to seal the victory.
United’s afternoon became worse when defender Lisandro Martinez was sent off in the second half, leaving the visitors with 10 men.

Masagara questioned how a club of Manchester United’s stature could fail to score against Chelsea, arguing that the result was difficult to accept.
He also referenced the team’s previous struggles, saying the club had endured difficult periods before but that the current situation was particularly frustrating.
In his video, Masagara repeatedly addressed Carrick, urging him to leave the club and allow another manager to take charge.
“If he sees this video, he should know that if this is not his team, he should just leave us. Leave our team alone. What is this? He should go,” he said.
Tom Daktari reacts
Comedian Tom Daktari also joined the reactions, posting a video in which he joked about Manchester United’s disappointing performances.
“Unajua nimeona the only time Man U haipigwi ni wakati haichezi. Wakati hatuchezi tu ndio hatuwezi pigwa,” he said, suggesting that the only time United avoid defeat is when they are not playing.

Daktari went further, joking that the entire squad should retire and the club should find something else to do.
He also recalled promising not to shave his hair until Manchester United won a match, but admitted that he could no longer wait for the next season.
“Sasa nitakaa hivi season mzima kweli? Wacheni tu ninyoe,” he joked, before asking his followers to help him find another team to support.
