Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen was among the high-profile guests who attended the wedding of Faith Too Cheluget and Allan Wanderi on Saturday, October 31, 2026.

Murkomen shared photos from the celebration on Facebook alongside a warm congratulatory message to the newlyweds.

Inside Faith Cheluget’s wedding

Faith is the daughter of Mike Cheluget, Kenya’s Director-General of Immigration, and his wife Evelyn.

Murkomen shared a Bible verse from Proverbs 18:22 alongside his post, writing:

“Congratulations, Faith Cheluget and Allan Wanderi, on your beautiful union in marriage. We wish you abundant blessings and a lifetime of love, happiness, and prosperity as you embark on this new chapter of life together.”

The white wedding was anything but a quiet affair. Senior government figures descended on the venue to celebrate with the Cheluget family, turning the occasion into one of the more notable social events of the season.

Felix Koskei, Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service, was among those in attendance, as were Dr Chris Kiptoo, the National Treasury Principal Secretary, and Gladys Boss Shollei, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly. Julius Bitok, Principal Secretary for Immigration and Citizen Services, also attended and publicly congratulated the family.

The celebrations did not begin on the wedding day itself. The couple had previously marked their traditional Kalenjin engagement ceremony, known as Koito and Chaik, at Chemva Farm in Tuiyo, Kapseret, Eldoret, before sealing their union with the white wedding.
