Charlene Ruto is stepping into marriage surrounded by love, prayer and some very thoughtful gifts.

The daughter of President William Ruto gave fans a glimpse into a pre-wedding celebration she organised ahead of her upcoming marriage to Isaya Yunge.

Charlene called the gathering “The Mother’s Blessing”, a ceremony that brought together her mother Rachel Ruto, aunties, Senges and close family friends. Sharing a series of photos on Instagram, Charlene described the occasion as “a beautiful gathering where my mother, aunties, Senges and mother’s friends blessed my future marriage, prayed for me, loved on me, gifted me and guided me on how to INVEST in my life and family.”

The images showed Charlene seated on an ornate gold-and-white throne, dressed entirely in white.

She was surrounded by an impressive spread of gifts, including a framed keepsake inscribed with the Proverbs 31 verse about a woman who fears the Lord, a large bouquet of red and cream roses, a pair of luxury hard-shell suitcases, white embroidered slippers, and an array of gift bags and boxes. The floral arrangements framing the scene featured a rich palette of cream, burgundy and gold, adding a regal touch to what was clearly a deeply personal occasion. Other photos captured the women in white walking hand in hand with the bride-to-be, as well as a moment when one of the guests addressed the gathering from a lectern.

The women prayed over Charlene and offered counsel on how to nurture a home and family.

The post carried a touching dedication to her mother.

“Thank you Mama for being my prayer warrior and biggest cheerleader all my life,” Charlene wrote.

The caption was set to Maoreen Jeruto’s song “Toroch Akicham”, adding a cultural and spiritual dimension to what was already an emotionally charged moment. The ceremony reflects a tradition in many Kenyan communities where elder women gather before a wedding to pass on wisdom and blessings to the bride, often combining prayer with symbolic gifts meant to prepare her for married life. Charlene’s wedding to Isaya Yunge has been building public anticipation, and “The Mother’s Blessing” appears to be one of several pre-wedding events marking the milestone in style.
