This week, socialites Vera Sidika and Amber Ray went all out with their gender reveal parties.

In what would be termed a game of social media one-upmanship, the duo went over the top to reveal the sex of their unborn babies and invite guests to the reveal parties with billboards and helicopters.

While Vera welcomed her son quietly, she shared a pre-recorded video of her gender reveal to announce the sex of her baby.

The RHONairobi star and her fiancé singer Brown Mauzo brought together friends and family to a swanky private location where they used a helicopter to reveal her baby’s gender.

A helicopter hovered around dropping blue powder (to reveal she is expecting a boy) while Vera and the guests watched safely from the ground.

Taking to social media, Vera said her prayers had been answered after giving birth to a girl as her firstborn.

“I am the happiest woman!!! 🎊💃🏼I Prayed so hard for a baby boy & God answered. I am so blessed 😩💙 I’ll be a mom to a Girl & Boy wow perfect balance 🙏 Sweethearts, suggest names,” she wrote.

Sidika announced her pregnancy back on December 19, in a see-through gown, saying she is seven months pregnant. She said she discovered her pregnancy at four and a half months.

Amber Ray’s gender reveal

On her part, Amber Ray sets up a billboard in Nairobi to announce her gender reveal party.

In the billboard, Amber poses holding her bulging belly with writing; “Is it a boy or a girl?”

Amber Ray and her fiance Kennedy Rapudo announced they were expecting their first child together on January 4.

The two lovebirds who have one kid each from their previous relationships got engaged in Dubai in November 2022.
