A heartbroken Kenyan man named Rajab Abdul has narrated how his wife left him with nothing after their businesses failed.

The father of two claimed that he once caught his wife cheating on him but he chose to forgive her.

“One day I returned from work and came home to an empty house. She had carried everything including my clothes,” he told TUKO.co.ke amid tears.

Rajab said he and his wife had a very beautiful marriage when they first got together.

The man said that he and his wife opened a fruit business which did so well that they ended up opening another fast food shop.

The two have two children, a boy and a girl and Rajab said that before COVID struck, they were doing very well.

However, the effects of the global pandemic crippled all businesses and therefore put a strain on their marriage too.

“I remember one day I asked her if she had weighed the meat that was delivered by the supplier to confirm if we were paying for the amount ordered. She got so upset and attacked me with a knife. She cut my leg. I still have a scar to date. I forgave her,”

Things continued to get worse especially because he had to often travel out of town in search of work. He did this to ensure he would be in a position to provide for his family.

Rajab also painfully recalled how he had come home earlier than expected from work only to find his wife in bed with another man.

“I could not believe it when I saw them on my bed. It hurt so bad. I forgave her because I knew my children would suffer if we separated.” he said

The couple decided to continue living together as long as she stopped her philandering ways.

However, to his shock, Rajab returned from work one day and came home to an empty house. His wife carried everything including his clothes.

“I don’t know what I did to deserve this. It is very painful. I cannot stop thinking about my children. I don’t want them to grow up without me. I would like to tell her to remember that our children need their father even though she no longer wants to be with me,” he said, with tears rolling down his cheeks.
