The Kakamega court has sentenced four men to 30 years’ imprisonment after they were found guilty of armed robbery and gang r*p3.

The four were identified as David Nyongesa, Charles Abonyo, Nelson Ravasa, and Davis Kamadi.

Senior Magistrate Dolphina Alego of Kakamega Court delivered the sentence on Thursday, saying that the four will serve 30 years for each of the three charges.

The four are said to have raped a lady in 2019 at the Kenya Power area on the outskirts of Kakamega city and then robbed her of valuables worth Ksh.146,075.

However, one suspect, Patrick Okinda, was acquitted and released after DNA results did not match those of the victim and his colleagues.
