Residents in Nairobi’s South B and South C Estates have called on the authorities to fix potholes in the area.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, locals and motorists alike called for prompt action.

“We urge the relevant bodies to look into this issue and treat it with urgency,” a resident said.

Bodaboda operators plying the route added that they have had to repair their motorbikes from time to time thanks to the poor state of the link roads.

“There is a huge pothole on Melili Road just before you join Mombasa Road,” a resident said.

He added that the spot poses a security threat especially at night or in the wee hours of the morning.

“Kiganjo Avenue, which is the link road at the South C bridge also has a huge pothole at the roundabout,” another rider noted.

According to locals, the situation worsens during the rainy season as motorists end up hitting the potholes.
