Zuchu featured Diamond Platnumz as the main video vixen in her new single ‘Utaniua’ which premiered on YouTube on May 1, 2023.

The song was an instant success as it garnered over a million views less than 24 hours after it was uploaded on YouTube.

As of May 6, ‘Utaniua’ had garnered nearly 3 million views – less than a week after it premiered.

Diamond and Zuchu play lovers in the music video. However, their love is threatened by Zuchu’s dad who organized an arranged marriage for her.

On learning that Zuchu is being married off to another man, Diamond grabs her and together they flee.

Diamond was not only a vixen in Zuchu’s new music video but actively participated in every stage of the song’s production.

Speaking during an interview with Wasafi FM, Diamond revealed that Zuchu didn’t pay him anything for his role in ‘Utaniua’.

(Were you paid for the role you played in Zuchu’s video?) Wasafi FM presenter asked Diamond.

Diamond explained that he couldn’t ask to be paid for his role in Zuchu’s new song because he is the leader in the industry and also because Zuchu is among the musicians he is working with at his music label Wasafi.

The Wasafi boss further noted it was his responsibility to do whatever was required of him, adding that being featured as a vixen in Zuchu’s new song was supposed to make it go viral – which it did.

The Wasafi boss further noted that he took part in composing the song with Zuchu and as such he couldn’t possibly refuse to take part in the video shoot.
