A Kenyan gal on Tiktok called Daddy’s Girl is quickly gaining fame with Kenyans online. She amuses people with her pronunciation of everything she attempts.

Her latest is a TikTok live with ‘The Professor’ of Netflix hit series Money Heist. She is singing the theme song Bella Ciao, and does a poor job at it.

He cracks up as she attempts it with a Kikuyu accent.

The lyrics are too difficult to understand. Here is a sample of the Italian lyrics

“Una mattina mi son svegliato,o bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao ciao ciao!Una mattina mi son svegliatoe ho trovato l’invasor.””

Bella Ciao lyrics are about a partisan who says farewell to his lady as he knows that death is approaching.

Taken together, ciao bella is a colloquial, familiar way of saying “hello” or “goodbye” to one woman (as opposed to a group).

The masculine version of the expression is ciao bello. The Professor character is played by Ajay Jethi, a Spain-based Indian actor who started as a construction laborer on a work visa in Barcelona.

Daddeys gal aka Miss Ndunge has amassed a huge following all because any attempt at talking leads to English errors.
