Former Liverpool striker, Michael Owen has hailed midfielder Curtis Jones for his performance in the Reds’ 3-0 Premier League win against Leicester City.
Jones netted two of the goals for Jurgen Klopp’s side in the first half brace at the King Power Stadium.
The first goal came in the 33rd minute and he scored the second three minutes later to help the Reds heap the pressure on Manchester United and Newcastle United.
The 22-year-old midfielder showed an outstanding display, having struggled for game-time at the start of the season, and fans wanted the player to be sold.
“It was an absolute beauty. He makes it look easy. This is a very difficult technique (for Jones’ first goal). The ball is bouncing in front of him. Castagne actually played everybody onside,” the former Manchester United, Newcastle, Real Madrid and Liverpool striker told Premier League Productions.
“That is a brilliant finish. Really difficult and he made it look really easy,” he said.
