English League Two side Bradford City AFC has announced the signing of Clarke Oduor on a three-year contract.
The Kenyan International is the club’s first major signing of the summer, marking a promising start to the transfer window for the team.

Oduor, a versatile player capable of operating as a winger, wing-back, or full-back, joins Bradford City following his release from Barnsley. Speaking to the club’s media, the player said he cannot wait to get started.
“I am excited. This is a huge club with a great fanbase, so I cannot wait to get going.” Oduor said.
“I am here to hopefully help us get back up the leagues. It is a three-year contract, so I am just looking forward to kicking on here,” he added.
Describing his style of play he said that he loves making things happen and creating chances for his teammates.
“My game is about excitement. I like to get on the ball a lot and make things happen, creating chances for myself and my teammates. That is what I am all about.
“Hopefully, I can get the fans off their seats. It is a fresh start for me, something new. It feels good and I cannot wait to meet the lads and get going,” he said.
City manager Mark Hughes believes the player is versatile and has the ability to help the team achieve its targets.
“We are delighted to have secured the services of Clarke, as our first new signing of the summer.
“He is a versatile, dynamic player who will bring a lot of different attributes to our squad, having already amassed a great deal of experience at both club and international level at a young age.
“His time at Barnsley playing in both the Championship and League One, coupled with an impressive spell at Hartlepool last season, shows the threat he carries as well as his ability to play at a higher level.”

Clarke Oduor journey
The 23-year-old footballer had previously graduated from Leeds United’s academy in 2017 before moving to South Yorkshire in 2019.
During his time at Barnsley, Oduor made a total of 57 appearances for the club, leaving a significant impact on their performances. One of his standout moments occurred during the final day of the 2019/20 season when he scored a crucial goal against Brentford. This goal secured Barnsley’s position in the second tier for another year, highlighting Oduor’s ability to perform under pressure.
In the previous season, Oduor spent a brief loan spell at Hartlepool United, featuring in 14 matches. He showcased his scoring prowess by finding the back of the net in a 2-1 defeat against Swindon Town in October.
Oduor was eligible for both the Kenyan national team and the England national team. He made his senior debut for Kenya in a 2–1 friendly win over Zambia in October 2020
