Samburu West MP Naisula Lesuuda and her husband, Robert Koits Kiplagat, are overjoyed to announce that they are expecting their second child. The couple’s friends wasted no time planning a lavish baby shower to celebrate the impending arrival.
The baby shower took place on Sunday, July 2, at the elegant Tamarind Tree Hotel along Langata Road.
The atmosphere was filled with joy and excitement as friends gathered, all dressed in white with a touch of purple, to honor the expecting mother. Naisula herself looked radiant in a beautiful purple floral dress, embracing her pregnancy glow.
In a tweet, MP Martha Wangari congratulated Naisula, expressing her support and well wishes for her journey.
She addressed Naisula affectionately as “my girl” and invoked a sense of warmth and encouragement. Hon Martha Wangari’s message carried a heartfelt sentiment as she invoked blessings from God for Naisula’s continued success and completion of the journey ahead.
Photographer Saint Patrick, who captured the magical moments of the event, took to social media to express his congratulations.
“Congratulations Hon Naisula Lesuuda,” he wrote. “So many happy and wonder-filled times ahead for you. Wishing you a handful of happiness, a heart full of love, and may God bless you. To everyone who made this big day special, friends, family, and colleagues, God bless you all. Enjoy this special time. It’s truly a blessing!”
Those in attendance also shared their heartfelt wishes for Naisula and her growing family on social media.
One caption read, “God bless you and your growing family.”
This news comes after the couple welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Enzi Chelimo Melau Koitaba, in December 2020.
Naisula previously shared the meaning behind her daughter’s name, explaining that “Enzi” means powerful, “Chelimo” signifies being born in the morning, and “Melau” represents the one who never lacks.
During their wedding in 2018, Naisula’s grandmother gifted them a handmade baby doll. The MP revealed that the doll was a prophetic symbol of her daughter’s birth.
Originally intending to make a boy doll, her grandmother had to switch gears when it broke and instead created a girl doll. Naisula and her husband saw this as a sign from above.
“We counted the months, weeks, days, and the day is finally here,” Naisula expressed. “We give you praise and honor, Lord, at all times. You have been gracious and faithful.”
Naisula and Robert tied the knot on November 17, 2018, in a grand ceremony attended by prominent Kenyan leaders, including Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, Baringo County Senator Gideon Moi, and media personality Jacque Maribe. Their growing family continues to be a source of joy and blessings for the couple and their loved ones.
