Kenyan RnB singer Jacob Obunga aka Otile Brown has announced the loss of his child. In a post on his Instagram status, Otile shared that his little one did not make it.
The Nabbayet hitmaker was set to welcome his first child into the world and shared the news last weekend. However, hours ago, he said this would not be his favourite year.
“Our baby didn’t make it…I guess it’s not my favourite year no more. It is all good…God you know I never ask or question You. All I do is smile and stay positive.”
Last weekend, the 30-year-old, while sharing the news of him becoming a parent, promised to give his child all his love. He, however, did not disclose his co-parent nor the gender of the baby, with gossip pundits trying to uncover the ‘mystery’ woman carrying the songbird’s child.
“Bizeee will soon be a pop, Inshallah… I will love you so much baby #Inshaallah,” he said via Instagram.
The talented musician has kept his relationships private ever since he announced the end of his relationship with Ethiopian beauty Nabbayet alias Nabbi last year.
Confirming the split in January 2022, Otile revealed that they had decided to part ways due to challenges posed by their respective careers and the geographical distance that put a strain on their relationship.
The two would then be spotted together in January 2023, sparking reconciliation rumours.
However, after news of Otile becoming a parent was wildly circulated, some fans speculated that Nabbi could be the one carrying his child and even flooded her posts with congratulatory messages.
In a quick rebuttal, Nabbi clarified that she was unaware of any pregnancy but expressed gratitude for the well-intentioned messages.
“Lol, I didn’t know but thank you,” she wrote, accompanying the post with laughing emoji.
