Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Dele Alli, has revealed that Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino is the best manager he worked under in his professional career as a footballer.

Alli played under Pochettino during their time together at Tottenham.

Speaking with Gary Neville on The Overlap series, Alli said: “Mauricio Pochettino was the best manager [I played under] and I could not have asked for a better manager at the time.

“I was with him and his team, you know, not just him. There was Jesus [Perez], Miguel [d’Agostino] and Tony [Jimenez].

“They are amazing people and they are so understanding, and it was not like a footballer and a manager relationship. It was deeper than that, I felt.”
