Azimio coalition chairman Wycliffe Oparanya has been released following an earlier arrest in Kakamega.

The former governor was arrested on allegations that he used a government vehicle during Wednesday protests.

The vehicle has been impounded at the police station.

He was arrested at Khayega market along the Kakamega- Kisumu Road.
