Everton are keen on signing Kelechi Iheanacho from Leicester City, according to BBC Sport.

The 26-year-old, who suffered relegation with the Foxes last season, has a year left on his contract.

Iheanacho moved to Leicester from Manchester City in 2017 but has struggled to secure a regular place in the team.

The Super Eagles forward made 10 goals’ involvements at the King Power last term despite starting only 11 times in his 28 league appearances.

He could now be set to join compatriot Alex Iwobi at Goodison Park.

Everton are expected to make a first approach for Iheanacho after they suffered a blow in their pursuit of El Bilal Toure, who has opted to join Serie A side Atalanta.
