Pools, fixtures for East African schools football games announced

 The Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Associations (FEASSSA) have announced pools for the East African School football Games, set to take place in Huye, Rwanda.

The tournament, spanning from August 19 to August 27, 2023, will see 10 schools from various East African countries vying for supremacy. The teams have been strategically divided into two distinct pools, setting the stage for enthralling matchups.

East African Schools Pools

Pool A boasts an impressive lineup of teams, including St. Anthony Kitale (Ke), St. Henry College, Kitovu (Ug), Amus College School (Ug), Kalangalala Secondary School (Tz), CGFK (Rw), and Shanderema High School (Ke).

Pool B features an equally formidable collection of teams, with Dagoretti High (Ke), St. Mary’s Kibuli SS (Ug), Kiwira Coal Mine (Tz), and Ecose Musambira (Rw).

Kenyan schools are poised to make their mark in the tournament, with St. Anthony Kitale leading the charge.

This formidable team earned their spot after a stunning victory in the Kenya Secondary School Games, where they triumphed over their rivals, Dagoretti High, with a resounding 2-0 scoreline.

Aldrine Kibet’s sensational brace secured St. Anthony’s sixth national title, underlining their prowess in the sport.

Dagoretti High, the runners-up, also clinched their place in the FEASSA East African School Games. Their journey to the regional tournament was hard-fought, setting the stage for an intense showdown with other East African powerhouses.

Shanderema High School, representing the Western Region secured their ticket to the competition with a commanding 5-1 victory over Agoro Sare. With their entry, the school hopes to leave a lasting impression in Huye, Rwanda.

The action-packed preliminary rounds are set to kick off on August 19, 2023, and the schedule boasts an array of thrilling matchups:
