Tanzanian artiste Alikiba has said he has no problem with his younger brother Abdukiba working together with his long-time rival Diamond Platnumz.
For over a decade Alikiba and Diamond have engaged in a battle of egos over who is the best between them.
Diamond has always argued that despite finding his nemesis already a music heavyweight when he started his own career, Alikiba is yet to achieve a fraction of what he has.
On his part, Alikiba has maintained that all Diamond does is thriving on clout but has nothing on him.
Two months ago, the two reignited their longstanding beef, camping on their social media accounts to throw shade at each other.
In the midst of the hostilities, a video emerged of Abdukiba partying with Diamond, something that got millions of the two stars fans confused.
Abdukiba is signed to Alikiba’s Kings Music label and him seen having a good time in the company of Diamond was translated by many as betrayal.
However, Alikiba says he has no problem with his brother hanging out with his nemesis.
“Abdukiba is an artiste and so is Diamond and whenever artistes meet they interact. I don’t see any harm in that,” Alikiba said.
When the video went viral Abdukiba didn’t offer any explanation while Diamond said they are working on a song.
“If they are working on a song together I don’t see any problem with that. Isn’t that what artistes do? Any artiste is free to work with any of his/her peers” Alikiba explained.
Alikiba and Diamond’s longstanding feud has not only caused confusion and division among their fans but also on fellow artiste.
A section of bongo flava greats such as Ommy Dimpoz, producer Master Jay argue that the two need to settle their differences and explore opportunities together.
However, for some, like rapper and Tanzanian Member of Parliament, Mwana FA, are of the few that the feud is entertaining, something the bongo flava industry could use.
