Liverpool defender, Trent Alexander-Arnold has identified three players who helped his team beat Newcastle United in Sunday’s Premier League clash.

Liverpool came from a goal down to beat Newcastle United in an away Premier League tie on Sunday at St James’ Park.

Darwin Nunez’s brace gave Jurgen Klopp’s side all three points against Newcastle as Virgil van Dijk was shown a straight red card for bringing down Alexander Isak during the encounter.

Speaking after the game, Alexander-Arnold singled out Jarell Quansah, Harvey Elliot and Nunez for special praise, insisting that they were brilliant for Liverpool against Newcastle when they came off the bench.

“You don’t genuinely believe you are going to win the game but if you stick together.

“You will get chances. The lads that came on, amazing. Jarell Quansah. Absolutely outstanding.

“We executed that change of plan excellently, hitting them twice on the counter. The lads that came on were outstanding, Darwin, Harvey, Quansah, all brilliant,” Alexander-Arnold told Sky Sports.
