Police in Rachuonyo East, Homa Bay County are investigating the circumstances in which a 16-year-old girl died by suicide in a church at Ogenga village.
The Class Eight pupil’s body was found in the church near her school.
According to the acting chief of Kasewe Location Dickson Samba, the pupil had left home on Tuesday at noon for an unknown destination, only for her mother to find her dead hours later.
The circumstances around her death are still unclear and the body was moved to Okita Nursing Home as a probe gets underway.
