A viral video depicting an intense altercation between a Kenyan TikToker and a city kanjo (city council) officer over a parking issue in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD) has ignited a wide array of reactions from Kenyans.

The video captured the TikToker’s determined attempt to engage with the kanjo officer in a heated shouting match while attempting to reason with him about a parking dispute.

The incident has left many amused and provoked discussions about the treatment of Kenyan citizens by kanjo officers.

In the viral video, the TikToker identified as Ntazola Gloria can be seen contesting the officer’s attempt to arrest her and impound her car.

Her insistence on reasoning with the officer and the exchange of insults that ensued both entertained and startled onlookers.

“Why are you behaving like that? That’s something to sit in my car; we’re going together to wherever I’m going,” she boldly exclaimed in the video.

The video unfolds with the TikToker initially trying to persuade the kanjo officer not to take her into custody or impound her vehicle, but her efforts are met with a firm refusal from the officer.

“I’m taking you to my place right now, and I’ll take you with this car. Why did you get in? Are you a traffic police officer, why did you get into my car?”

The contentious argument continues with the two parties clashing over issues related to traffic flow and parking regulations.

“We’re going with you to where I’m going, you dog. You’re bothering Kenyans, your people are stressed. Why did you get into my car? I’m telling you, you’re a dog, and we’re going with you to my place. I’m not even going to work; we’re going with you. Why did you get into my car? Are you a traffic police officer?” she exclaimed.

In response, the kanjo officer tries to beg the lady to allow him leave but the lady gets more furious.

“I’m taking you all the way to Ng’ong. We’ll make a road trip out of it. You have very bad manners. I can’t park my car; you keep getting in. Didn’t I tell you I want to park my car? Why did you refuse? I told you I wanted to park, then you both came? I told that guy not to get into the car; I don’t park cars,” she adds.

The content creator persisted threatening to spend the night in the car with the officer.

“I will stay with you inside here. I have nothing to lose. I’m a boss,” she said.

The video has garnered significant attention and curiosity from Kenyans who are eager to learn more about the outcome of this rather unusual “road trip.”
