Kenya Power announces electricity interruptions in 5 counties

Kenya Power has revealed scheduled electricity interruptions that are set to affect several regions across the country on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.

The power company has outlined the specific areas and timings for these planned power outages.

In Nakuru County, there will be power interruption from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. The affected locations include Kabarak Home, Upper Mangu, Aberdare, Mangu Mastoo, Maraga Residence, Ngata Kaptich, Kirobon AGC, Verovian, and all adjacent customers.

Meanwhile, Nandi County will see a power outage in Kapsabet Town and Baraton from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. This interruption will impact areas such as KCC Lessos, Kapnyeberai, Kilibwoni, Arwos, Kapsabet Town, Kamobo, Kapkangani, Kaimosi, Koibarak, Chepterit, Mosoriot, Tulon, Itigo, Mutwot, Baraton, Kipchabo, Kaptel, Talai, Kipsigak, Chemomi, Mugundoi, Kaptumo, Chepkongony, and adjacent customers.

Siaya County will experience a shorter power outage, with Rabango and Wagai Market areas facing interruptions from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. The affected locations include Rabango, Ulafu Nyalgunga, Umala, Nyamila, Bar Kodhiambo, Ngiya High School & Market, Nyagondo Market, Wagai Market, Kodelo, Akala Road, and adjacent customers.

Residents in Kisii County, specifically in part of Kish Town, will also face a power outage from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. The affected areas encompass Daraja Mbili, Embonga Hotel, Bongo Hospital, LEE Hotel, Kisii Junction Hotel, Nyamataro, Kiamwas, Nyakoe Hotel, Nyakoe Market, Keaoge Girls, Mosocho, Riotoigo, Matieko, Ongich Secondary School, Ruga Market, Nyakoe Quarry, and adjacent customers.

Lastly, in Kwale County, residents in Msambweni, Shimoni, and Lunga Lunga will experience a power interruption from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. The affected areas include Msambweni Referral Hospital, Majoreni, Vanga, Lunga Lunga, Shimoni, Shimba Hills, Milalani, Kikoneni, Sawasawa Beach, Msambweni Beach, and adjacent customers.
