Why did Milly Chebby cry at wedding?
“We met 10 years ago, and we are not who we used to be regarding behaviour and finances.” Milly said she was overwhelmed by emotions after seeing everyone who travelled for the function.
“I could not contain my tears after walking in and seeing all the friends who drove and flew to support Terence and me. God reminded me that he has a plan for me.”
Milly said they initially planned to host 10 people and 50 at the most, but the turnout exceeded the number. “The tent of 450 people was full, yet we wanted five people each from both families. I cried until Diana Marua wondered whether someone had wronged me. They were tears of joy.”
She recalled the first time Terence visited their home in 2017 and the reception he received. “He had his head bowed. ‘Is this what you chose?’ My mother asked me.” However, Milly was resolute in choosing Terence. “Amen, God’s time is best,” reacted one person.
