Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has insisted there are seven teams better than them in the Premier League title race.
Emery was speaking after his side defeated Manchester City 1-0 on Wednesday night.
The result moved Villa into third place ahead of City.
Pep Guardiola appeared convinced that Emery’s men were in this title race, but the Spaniard was rather more cautious.
“Today was fantastic but keep balanced. Next challenge is on Saturday,” Emery said.
If Villa win against Emery’s former club Arsenal on Saturday, it would move them to within one point of the Gunners.
When asked if that makes them title contenders, Emery replied: “Not really. There are seven teams in the table better contenders than us.”
