Club Africain forward, Kingsley Eduwo has tipped Rivers United to qualify for the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Rivers United suffered a 3-0 loss against the Tunisian side in their matchday four encounter at the Stade de Rades on Wednesday night.

Eduwo scored a brace for Club Africain in the encounter.

He also maintained hopes of receiving a national team call-up in the future.

“Scoring two goals isn’t easy but it’s a good thing we top our group just for the fans,” he stated in a post-match interview.

“I have always wished for Club Africain and Rivers United to make it to the next round since the draws was made.

“I was mentioned in the 50-man list but I was dropped from the 41-man list but I still keep my hopes alive for future call up to the Super Eagles.”

Rivers United currently occupy third position on the Group C table with six points.

The Pride of Rivers will take on Academica do Lobito next at the Estádio 11 de Novembro Stadium on February 25, 2024.
