The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has alerted motorists plying or planning to use the Nairobi – Nakuru Highway of a traffic snarl-up from Rironi.

The snarl-up, which started Friday morning, has been occasioned by increased travel for Christmas festivities.

KeNHA has advised motorists to maintain lane discipline and avoid overlapping to prevent further congestion.

“They can also use alternative routes,” said KeNHA.

Meanwhile, traffic police have been activated to manage the situation.

Images shared online have shown motorists opting to overlap and even creating isolated paths far from the main highway.
