Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta has described reports linking him with a move away from the club in June as fake news.

Arteta admitted that it makes him upset, adding that he still has a lot to do at Arsenal.

The Spaniard spoke at his pre-match press conference ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League tie with Nottingham Forest, on Tuesday.

Reports had over the weekend emerged that the former Manchester City assistant coach would leave the Gunners at the end of the season.

“This fake news about me leaving in June makes me upset. I’m immersed in a beautiful journey with my players, the staff, our beautiful people,” Arteta was quoted by Fabrizio Romano as saying.

“There is still a lot to do here at Arsenal. “I always said I’m in the right place”.

Arteta led Arsenal to a second-place finish last season.

Arteta’s side currently sit in third position on the Premier League table this season.

The North London club are five points behind leaders Liverpool on the log.
