Renowned female disc jockey Pierra Makena recently made headlines after disclosing her celebrity crushes during an interview with Oga Obinna.
When asked to name a celebrity she admired, Pierra hesitated before playfully mentioning controversial politician Peter Salasya and former presidential aspirant Cassypool.
“Do I have such? Maybe Cassypool and Peter Salasya. I’ve never met them, but I’m just kidding. They are fun to watch on social media,” Pierra said during the interview.
A celebrity crush is a feeling of romantic infatuation or admiration that someone experiences towards a famous individual.
Reacting to the revelation, MP Salasya expressed his excitement at being mentioned by Pierra.
“Wow, I’ve watched this video repeatedly until I started feeling sweet. Where does this DJ Pierra KENYA play her shows and which songs does she play? Someone please tell me, she’s also our fun, so if I get a child with a celebrity, I might also hear some sweet words… And she knows how to call my name romantically,” Salasya humorously responded.
Pierra Makena, known for her prowess in the entertainment industry, began her career as a Disk Jockey in 2010 after leaving Scanad Kenya Limited to help set up One FM radio station.
In the interview, she also opened up about the challenges she has faced as a woman working in various sectors of the Kenyan entertainment industry and how it has influenced her parenting skills.
Pierra emphasised the importance of staying vigilant as a woman in the industry to avoid exploitation and maintain professional standards for success.
Meanwhile, Salasya, who has been in the spotlight due to his single status, shared a picture of a woman he admires.
“I want to make this clear that, my taste of a lady I can take to my honorable people down in the villages of Mumias East Constituency and be accepted is like this one on this photo. Even me I have eyes for good things bwanaaa!” he captioned the photo on Twitter.
