Comedian Mannerson Oduor Ochieng, popularly known as Akuku Danger, has shared his recent battle with Sickle Cell disease, saying it was intense and only took the hand of God to get better.
Akuku Danger’s journey with the disease is an open book, having had episodes in the past that left him hospitalised and calling for help from well-wishers.
One of the people who have continuously stood with him and helped him raise funds for his medical bills is actress Sandra Dacha, a close friend of his.
And now Akuku has once again revealed that he was recently hospitalised after another episode struck, calling Sickle Cell a monster.
“These past few weeks God has really come through for me. Sickle Cell is a monster man. One minute you going about your business and working hard to chase this bag and the next minute you fighting for your life in the hospital,” Akuku said.
The comedian share a video from his hospital bed, saying his aim is to create awareness around the disease, and encourage those battling it.
“I’m posting this not for sympathy or anything but for all the sickle cell warriors out there who are looking for inspiration and yes! You are all stronger than you think,” Akuku added.
