Legendary Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has warned Liverpool not to call for Jurgen Klopp’s help in finding his own successor.
Klopp will leave Anfield at the end of the season after nine years in charge.
The timing of the German’s announcement is allowing the Premier League club enough time to find a replacement.
Wenger, who spent more than 20 years at the Emirates, has said it would be a mistake to consult Klopp when making the decision.
“No, no,” Wenger said on beIN Sports, when asked if Klopp’s advice should be sought out.
“I don’t think so unless he becomes officially appointed by Liverpool as an advisor.
“You do your job and you let other people do their jobs. I think organisations work well when that is the case. Everybody does what they are responsible for. At least you know when it doesn’t work, who to speak to.”
