Singer Mwanaisha Abdalla has hit out at social media critics following comments about the complexion of her child.
The celebrated artist, commonly referred to as Nyota Ndogo in entertainment circles, joyfully announced the birth of her son in February 2024, complete with a heartwarming photo of the newborn.
Despite her elation, Nyota expressed concerns about potential accusations of infidelity due to her son’s skin tone, humorously attributing it to his preference for inheriting his father’s silky hair.
“Welcome home my child… But this color, they will say I cheated on my husband… I mean, you’ve decided to take after your father’s hair but this color is ours,” Nyota affectionately penned.
In a recent update, Nyota Ndogo was seen in tears as she addressed the criticism she faced from online followers.
She expressed her dismay over the hurtful comments and emphasized that her husband was not concerned about their child’s complexion.
“I do not know why people online insult others. I don’t know whether such people know the impact trolls have on people’s lives. I am not usually moved by trolls, but a recent comment about my child has angered me because someone said I cheated on my husband, that is why our child did not get his color. The father is not bothered about the color of my child. In fact, he is happy that he got an African child. Social media trolls have affected me so much,” she tearfully revealed.
Nyota Ndogo’s union with her Danish husband, Henning Nielsen, has often been scrutinised, given their noticeable age gap.
Married since May 2016, the couple has weathered criticism, with Nyota Ndogo unabashedly embracing their love despite societal judgment.
The singer, born on January 3, 1981, has consistently defended her relationship, openly expressing affection for her husband, who recently celebrated his 60th birthday.
Nielsen’s lavish gesture of gifting his expectant wife with a Ksh3 million surprise – a significant piece of land – served as a testament to their enduring love and mutual support.
